Allan - an Accordian Giant Turns 100!

Allan Eriksson (1911 - 1993) was a Swedish accordion player and composer, born and raised in Greksåsar, Bergslagen.
In the 40s, 50s and 60s, Allan was a household name in dance halls and on the radio.
During the Second World War he was a military entertainer for the Swedish troops.

As a musician Allan stood out with his unique playing style.
As a composer he wrote classic songs like När Lyckan Ler
(a Smile of Luck).

With a total of 70+ songs, a long career and multiple recordings, it's safe to say that Allan definitely qualified for the hall of fame of Swedish "accordion giants"!
